Scentsy Story
I've had a lifetime obsession with scents and scenting my home. My husband has tolerated everything from regular wicked candles, soy candles, wallflowers, tea light heated oils, incense, room sprays, reed diffusers, etc. etc. through our 17 years of marriage. He would make me blow out my candles because the soot gave him a headache. We started having kids and I found myself using wicked candles less because of the dangers associated with them. I moved to Utah (down the street from where Scentsy was started in my friend's basement) 3 years ago. My neighbor who is a Scentsy consultant let me borrow a warmer. I plugged it in and couldn’t believe how perfectly it scented my home. It wasn’t overpowering - just a nice welcoming scent. My family agreed…our house never smelled so good…and we were hooked! Soon we had one in every room of our house! My neighbor convinced me to start my own business. I was hesitant at first because although I have a bachelor's degree in marketing I am not hard wired for sales. I spent 12 years in fundraising but very much behind the scenes in a research capacity. I found it is true you can sell things you love. Everyone here in Utah loves Scentsy. If you haven’t tried Scentsy yet you need to soon. These are great if you don’t like to host regular parties but still want the hostess rewards.
